These are locations of the eight IITs and seven IIMs to be set up in the country during the 11th plan period.
The intake of new IITs together would be 2500, and that of IIM would be 120 each.
Already 6 IITs (mentored by existing IITs) and 1 IIM (mentored by IIM A) started functioning from 2008-09.
